ROCHESTER HILLS, MI [MW Diocese Communications] -- His Grace, Bishop Mark of Baltimore presided at the consecration of Saint Mark Church Saturday, September 22, 2012.
Eight priests and two deacons served with Bishop Mark at the consecration Divine Liturgy, which was witnessed by over 150 faithful and friends of the parish.
The consecration had been postponed for two years due to the repose of His Eminence, Archbishop Job, "whose presence was felt during the weekend services," according to Matushka Ruth Yavornitzky, whose husband, Archpriest Andrew, is rector of the parish.
"We at Saint Mark's are grateful that Bishop Mark was able to consecrate our church," she added. "We thank him for his presence."
