During his visit to St. Gregory of Nyssa in Columbus, Bishop Paul ordained the reader Peter Simko to the Sub-diaconate. He also presented the St. George Eastern Orthodox Cub Scout award to six-year-old Joseph Shalua, son of Deacon Joseph Shalua. Axios and Many Years! to both of you!

Do what you can to support the appeal to assist those in Mexico and Alaska to attend next year’s All American Council. In looking at parish bulletins, Bishop Paul realizes our parishes are already doing a lot, as it is to assist those in need. For this he is grateful to God; do what you can. You can access the info about the appeal by clicking this link: If it is not clear, all donations are to be mailed to the Diocese at 927 N La Salle Dr. Chicago, IL 60610. Many thanks for what you are able to do.

If you are holding any special events or celebrating any special services, and would like to share this news with the diocese, contact Fr. John Matusiak to put the event on the diocesan web page. Gather what photos you have and send those to Fr. John along with some bullet points of facts concerning the event. That way he can do a brief write up of the event. Fr. John can be reached at:
