St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox Church of Lincoln, Nebraska recently had the opportunity to participate in an ecumenical concert with parishes from the local Roman Catholic diocese for the fourth year in a row. This event, called “Gates of Repentance,” first came together in March of 2006 when University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) student and Roman Catholic church musician Dr. Jennifer Donelson approached the local Roman Catholic and
Orthodox leaders with the idea.
On Sunday June 14 Archbishop Job participated with clergy and faithful of the "Quad Parishes" of the Chicago Deanery for their annual joint Divine Liturgy and picnic.
The "Quad Parishes" include St Luke, Palos Hills; St Panteliemon, Summit: Sts Peter and Paul, Burr Ridge; and Archangel Michael, Burbank.
On Saturday and Sunday, June 6/7 His Eminence Archbishop Job celebrated the Feast of Pentecost at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Chicago, Illinois. During the Divine Liturgy Archbishop Job ordained seminarian Christopher Maciolek to the Holy Diaconate.
On Saturday June 6 His Eminence, Archbishop Job, celebrated Memorial Saturday Divine Liturgy at St Stephen parish in Crawfordsville, Indiana. During the Divine Liturgy His Eminence ordained Diocesan Seminarian Deacon Joel Weir to the Holy Priesthood.
On 27/28 May His Eminence, Archbishop Job celebrated Great Vespers and Lytia and the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of Our Lord's Ascension at Holy Ascension church in Albion, Michigan.
