Bishop Paul, STOTS choir, visit St. John Church, Campbell, OH
CAMPBELL, OH [MW Diocese Communications] — Archpriest Andrew D. Nelko and the faithful of Saint John the Baptist Church here welcomed His Grace, Bishop Paul during his archpastoral visit on the weekend of February 12-14, 2016.
Archpriest Dr. Steven Voytovich, Dean of Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, and the school’s Mission Choir were also guests of the parish.
“This was an incredibly joyous celebration led by His Grace, Paul, Bishop of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest,” said Father Andrew, a 1981 STOTS graduate and father of current seminarian, Reader Andrew P. Nelko. Concelebrating with Bishop Paul and Father Andrew was Deacon David Gemmel.
Adding to the festive character of the weekend was a dinner for parishioners and seminary choir members after Saturday evening Vespers. At the conclusion of the Sunday Divine Liturgy, Bishop Paul presented a diocesan gramota to James and Darlene Hryb for their dedication to and love for Saint John parish. The weekend concluded with an incredible steak luncheon and brief concert by the seminary choir.
