On March 9-10, leaders of St John the Forerunner parish in Indianapolis gathered for a Parish Vision workshop assisted by the Diocese' Parish Health Ministry.

Fr Joseph Gibson, parish rector was the prime mover behind the 25 person session. "We hadn't looked seriously at where our parish wanted to head for a long time. I wanted to build a realistic but agressive view of what activites were really important to the parish," noted Fr Joseph.

The agenda examined the parish's past, where it is today, how it got there and the parish's key current assets. This provided the basis for describing a future picture of where the parish desires to head in terms of target characteristics, future ministries, size and facilities.
